Coping with trauma, managing depression, dealing with anxiety, enduring a stressful life transition or confronting long-time interpersonal challenges can be incredibly overwhelming. I will join you in the effort. I approach this work with honesty, humility and warmth and always hold the broader goal of providing empirically sound, non-judgmental therapeutic support.
I specialize in working with trauma and primarily utilize EMDR Therapy in this effort. EMDR Therapy is widely used and effective in working with the integration of traumatic life experiences. This modality utilizes techniques that rely on the inherent adaptability of our brains along with resources and skills to address how we tolerate emotions and experiences as they are held in our minds and bodies. After moving through the EMDR process, clients often report a substantial shift in how they perceive not only the trauma they have endured in life, but how they perceive themselves as well as the world around them.
